From initial evaluations to IEP meetings and ongoing support, we advocate for your child's unique needs, helping you confidently navigate the system and secure the best possible outcomes for their education and development.

What to Expect

• Initial Consultation Visit: You will meet with your advocate to discuss your student’s needs and outline the IEP process.

• Document Review: Your advocate will analyze existing IEPs, assessments, and educational records.

• Meeting Preparation: Your advocate will work with you and your team to prepare for an IEP meeting, including understanding reports and setting goals.

• Attendance at IEP Meetings: Your advocate will attend the IEP meeting to provide support and advocacy to ensure your student’s needs are addressed.

• Goal Setting and Progress Monitoring: As needed, your advocate will assist you and your school team in setting realistic goals and monitoring progress throughout the year.

• Communication with School Staff: Your advocate will facilitate effective communication between you and school personnel.

• Resource Provision: As needed or upon request, your advocate will supply information and resources about rights, services, and accommodations.

• Advocacy Training for Parents: Your advocate will teach you how to advocate effectively for your student’s needs.

• Dispute Resolution: Your advocate will assist with mediation or conflict resolution if disagreements arise.

• Transition Planning: As applicable, your advocate will support planning for transitions between school levels or into post-secondary/vocational life.

• Follow-Up Support: Your advocate will provide ongoing support and updates to ensure the IEP is effectively implemented.
